BEST of the Battle VI recap
This past weekend we hosted our sixth event in the BEST of the Battle fighting game tournament series. The event took place in San Jose, California at the Breezy Excursion warehouse. The tourney lineup for the event included Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate, Ultra Street Fighter 4, Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3, Persona 4 Arena Ultimax, and Under Night In-Birth Exe: Late. The first half of the day had tournaments for DOA5U, P4AU, and UNIEL. The tournaments for USF4 and Marvel happened later that evening. From morning till night gamers from all over Northern California gathered at the event to test their skills in their respective game. We even had a few special guests from Southern California show up to compete. Even if you didn't take home a medal or cash at the event you still had an opportunity to walk away a winner during one of the many raffles that happened. Keep scrolling to view the results and pics of the event.
Here is the stream archive of the event with DOA and USF4 getting all the stream time (I'll get around to chopping up the match vids another time)

Evolution 2014 recap
Last week we attended the largest fighting game tournament in the world, Evolution 2014. Over 5,000+ fighting game fans gathered in Las Vegas at the LVH Casino & Resort, with many people attending from various countries such as Japan, Australia, Great Britain, and more.
The calm before the storm…
We teamed up with Capsule Entertainment and Godlike Combo to run a side-tournament for Street Fighter 3: Third Strike and Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate
Attendee's got to play a pre-release of the new Jojo game, Jojo's Bizarre Adventure: All Star Battle
The Qanba booth had a gigantic fightstick on display
Tried out a Virtual Reality headset…way better than the Virtual Boy
This was just a small fraction of the seats available during Sunday finals
The DOA5U grand finals consisted of 2 EVO world champions, FNATIC|Perfect Legend and RG|SonicFox. Here is the top 3 for the Dead or Alive 5 side tourney; 1st-RG|SonicFox (middle), 2nd-FNATIC|PerfectLegend (right), 3rd-AFD|Requiem (left)
Wouldn't be right if we didn't take a team photo before we left Vegas. Till next year, EVO.
